It is my privilege to welcome you to Creed Collins Elementary School, home of a West Virginia School of Excellence! Our staff has worked long hours and has endured many changes to achieve this accomplishment.
This year brings many new faces and more challenges to continue the quality education we are known to provide. It would be easy to sit back and enjoy the success we have worked so hard to obtain, but this will not be the case. We will all work even harder to continue the success of educating our children.
We are facing one of the biggest changes in education: the implementation of 21st Century Learning. This is somewhat new in our school system and has really taken off. To say the least, it is a very exciting time and we are more than prepared to perform the continual changes needed to better educate our children.
There is one constant in life, and that is change. For some, this is very difficult to endure, but if we want to continue improving education, change is needed. We have changed many practices to become a West Virginia School of Excellence, now we will do more to make us even better.
I am so happy to be a part of the upcoming school year at CCES. I am sure with the continual support of our parents, hard work of our teachers, and continual dedication of our students, there will be able to accomplish anything.

It is my sincere honor to have had the opportunity to serve as your principal. I have been so proud of all of you! You are a very dedicated group of students, parents, teachers and friends.
Your new principal, Mr. Allen Laugh, comes to you from the Assistant Principal position of Ritchie County Middle School. He lives in Harrisville, WV. Mr. Laugh’s wife is a teacher in our school system. He has two children who attend Harrisville Elementary and Ritchie County Middle School.
Mr. Laugh is a hard worker and will be encouraged by the commitment to excellence you have demonstrated. You have all applied “212 degrees”.
