A Message from Principal Allen Laugh:
It is my privilege to welcome you to Creed Collins Elementary School, home of a West Virginia School of Excellence!
Every year brings new challenges to provide the highest quality of education possible. The staff has utilized many resources and worked long hours to ensure continual improvements. We will continue to use test data to better improve student classroom performance and have spent many hours improving the overall look and atmosphere of the facility itself.
The past three years, we have endured some of the biggest changes in education: the implementation of 21st Century Learning, utilizing MAP assessment results in teaching, and “Live Grades”. Even though these were new to our school system, I felt our school has used them to better prepare our students not only for improving classroom performance, but also assisting them to become better members of society and will also help parents to become more aware and more involved with their student’s educational performance.
I have stated before that change is the one constant in life and for some it is very difficult, but in order to continue improving education, we need to change. The staff here at Creed Collins realizes the importance of improving education and will continually work with the changes needed for the best education possible for our students.
I am again very happy to be a part of the upcoming school year. I am sure this year will be even better than last because of the hard working teachers, the continual support of the our parents, and the dedication of our students.
